In recent years, due to numerous migrations of patients, medical staff, and the rapid development of medical technology, we see new patterns of both consumption and providing medical services. Free movement of goods and services within the European Union also contributed to the development of medical services provided to foreign patients. The purpose of health tourism is a patient traveling to neighboring or distant countries to get medical care – usually as part of a global trend of combining treatment with rest. The services of Polish entities medicinal use most often Germany, English and residents of the Scandinavian countries. The participants of the health tourism is not only the patients looking for better quality, lower prices and speed of realization of services but they are also healthcare providers, insurance companies, finance companies, travel agencies and companies organizing congresses.
